Dubai Chamber of Commerce has announced the establishment of the Dubai Contractors Business Group, a new initiative aimed at representing contracting companies and enhancing their contribution to the emirate’s economic development.
The newly formed group will act as a strategic platform connecting contractors with government authorities and private sector stakeholders. It is expected to facilitate dialogue on industry opportunities, regulatory improvements, and sustainable growth within the sector.
Speaking on the launch, Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, said the initiative underscores the chamber’s commitment to supporting industries that play a vital role in strengthening Dubai’s position as a leading global business hub.
He noted that the contracting sector remains a key driver of infrastructure development and urban expansion, contributing significantly to economic progress and the quality of life enjoyed by residents across the emirate.
The group will be chaired by Abdulla Saeed Al Naboodah, who highlighted the construction sector’s crucial role in transforming Dubai into a globally recognised centre for innovation, urban excellence, and investment.
Al Naboodah said the business group will bring together industry leaders to enhance competitiveness, promote best practices, and elevate professional standards while ensuring the sector remains aligned with the UAE’s long-term development vision.
In addition to representing contractors’ interests, the group will advocate for regulatory reforms that support sustainable industry growth. It will also focus on increasing awareness of legal and regulatory frameworks while encouraging higher professional and operational standards among member companies.
The Dubai Contractors Business Group joins the growing network of sector-specific business groups operating under the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, all of which serve as channels for private-sector engagement in shaping economic policies and development strategies.
