The United States launched a fresh wave of airstrikes against Iran overnight, marking a second consecutive day of military action as diplomatic efforts to halt the three-month conflict appeared to falter.
In response, Tehran announced that it had effectively closed the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, warning that any vessel attempting to transit the passage could be targeted. Iranian authorities also claimed responsibility for attacks on ships and US-linked assets in Bahrain and Kuwait.
Despite Iran’s declaration, Washington maintained that commercial maritime traffic through the waterway continued uninterrupted.
Kuwait Suspends Flights Amid Airspace Closure

Kuwait temporarily suspended all commercial flights after authorities closed the country’s airspace in response to escalating regional tensions.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) announced that the closure took effect at 4:50 a.m. local time, citing concerns over passenger safety and air navigation following Iranian attacks in the region.
US Issues Alert After Reports of Attacks Over Jordan

The United States issued an urgent security warning after reports of missiles, drones, and rockets being detected in the airspace of Jordan.
Residents were advised to seek immediate shelter, remain indoors, and closely monitor official announcements. The US Embassy in Jordan said it was closely tracking developments and would provide additional updates as the situation evolves.
