Dubai-The Dubai Centre for Family Businesses has launched the first cycle of its 2026 Next-Generation Family Business Leadership Programme, bringing together 17 emerging leaders from family-owned enterprises across Dubai.
Operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, the initiative is designed to equip future successors with the leadership, governance, and entrepreneurial skills needed to guide their family businesses through future challenges and opportunities.
The programme combines international best practices with regional business insights, ensuring participants gain knowledge that is both globally relevant and locally applicable. Through interactive workshops, role-playing exercises, practical assessments, and real-world case studies, participants will develop expertise in key areas such as corporate governance, board leadership, strategic decision-making, entrepreneurship, communication, and conflict management.
Upon completion, participants are expected to have a stronger understanding of governance frameworks, effective leadership strategies, and the role of boards in driving sustainable business growth. The curriculum also focuses on strengthening personal leadership capabilities and fostering a long-term strategic vision.
Since its establishment in 2023, the Dubai Centre for Family Businesses has played a vital role in supporting the sustainability and growth of family-owned enterprises, which remain a cornerstone of Dubai’s economy. The new programme aligns with the centre’s broader mission of ensuring business continuity across generations while contributing to the emirate’s economic development goals.
