“Competitiveness for us is not a ranking to chase; it is a standard we set for ourselves every day,” Sheikh Mohammed said.
The report also placed the UAE among the world’s top 10 countries in 118 indicators and within the top five in 67 key measures. The nation ranked first globally in areas including bureaucracy efficiency, adaptability of government policies, employment, national culture, and air transport quality.

Published annually by the IMD World Competitiveness Center, the Yearbook assessed 70 economies using a combination of statistical data and executive surveys. The evaluation is based on four main pillars: Economic Performance, Government Efficiency, Business Efficiency, and Infrastructure.
Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that the results reflect the UAE’s resilience, adaptability, and determination to remain a preferred destination for investors, entrepreneurs, and skilled professionals from around the world.
