Dubai, UAE: Georgian Global officially launched its Dubai branch yesterday at glamourous event , marking a significant step in expanding Canadian academic and industry-focused training into the Middle East.

The launch event drew business leaders, academics and entrepreneurs, underscoring strong regional interest in globally benchmarked professional education. Powered by Georgian College in Ontario, Canada, Georgian Global aims to deliver Canadian academic excellence combined with regional industry insight to learners across the Middle East.

Established in 1967, Georgian College is widely recognised as one of Ontario’s leading institutions for graduate employment and employer satisfaction. The college has built a reputation for innovation, applied learning and strong industry partnerships — strengths that now form the foundation of Georgian Global’s expansion strategy.

The Dubai initiative has been developed in collaboration with the Automotive Association of the Middle East and North Africa (AMENA). Together, they will offer internationally benchmarked, results-oriented training programmes focused on developing future leaders within automotive dealerships and related sectors.

“We’re thrilled to bring our approach to training and workforce development to the region,” said Kevin Weaver, President and CEO of Georgian College and Director of Georgian Global. “This is an exciting period of progression and innovation in the Middle East, and we look forward to helping develop and empower adaptable, future-ready talent as a trusted and highly collaborative partner.”

Georgian Global specialises in practical, industry-driven programmes designed to help professionals upskill, strengthen leadership capabilities and contribute to economic growth. The institution emphasises hands-on learning and close collaboration with employers to ensure training remains aligned with evolving market needs.

As the UAE continues to invest heavily in priority sectors such as healthcare and artificial intelligence, Georgian Global plans to build strategic partnerships across the region. Among those supporting its regional vision are Dr Mariam Shaikh and MS Education.

“Our goal is to co-create locally relevant, globally benchmarked solutions rather than simply export education,” Weaver added.

Senior officials from Georgian Global and Georgian College attended the Dubai launch, including Kevin Weaver, President and CEO; David Johnson, Vice President of Finance and Corporate Services; Stephanie Barry, Executive Director of Georgian Global; Mustafa Aydin, Senior Manager for Global Business Development; and Jason Dale, Executive Director of the Automotive Business School of Canada at Georgian College.

The launch signals Georgian Global’s commitment to strengthening workforce development in the Middle East by combining Canadian training expertise with regional industry knowledge.
