DUBAI — Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will host the inaugural Dubai International Electric Vehicle Exhibition and Conference, EV World 2026, from November 10 to 12 at Dubai World Trade Centre.
Held under the theme “Driving a Smart and Sustainable Mobility Future,” the three-day event is expected to attract more than 300 local and international companies, government authorities and organisations.
Organisers expect more than 30 business partners, 70 speakers and over 10,000 industry professionals and visitors.
The exhibition will showcase developments across electric vehicle manufacturing, battery management, hydrogen fuel cells, fast-charging infrastructure, smart mobility systems, autonomous transport, unmanned aerial vehicles and artificial intelligence.
RTA Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors Mattar Al Tayer said EV World 2026 would strengthen Dubai’s position as a global centre for innovation, investment and future mobility.
He said the event would provide a platform for international experts to exchange knowledge, establish partnerships and attract investment into electric and smart transportation.
RTA has been expanding international cooperation ahead of the event, including discussions between Al Tayer and Dr Zhang Yongwei, Chairman of China EV100, on strengthening cooperation in electric mobility.
RTA has also signed an agreement with China EV100 aimed at increasing Chinese participation in the Dubai event.
Promotional activities and partnership meetings have been held in China, Germany, Belgium and India as RTA seeks to broaden the event’s international reach.
EV World 2026 is aligned with RTA’s Zero-Emissions Public Transportation in Dubai 2050 strategy, which sets out the emirate’s long-term plans for cleaner public transport.
RTA said hybrid vehicles now account for more than 72 percent of Dubai’s taxi and limousine fleet, while electric vehicles make up 19 percent, exceeding the authority’s 2026 target.
The authority aims to transition its entire public transport fleet to electric and hydrogen-powered vehicles by 2040.
