The United Arab Emirates has reaffirmed that it has not altered its defensive posture despite repeated attacks attributed to Iran, emphasizing that it remains committed to neutrality and regional stability.
In a statement issued on March 3, 2026, the UAE confirmed it has endured more than one thousand attacks, a figure it says exceeds the total faced by all other targeted countries combined. According to the statement, all incoming threats were successfully intercepted and neutralised by the UAE Armed Forces, demonstrating what authorities described as professionalism, efficiency and operational readiness.
The government reiterated that it is not a party to the ongoing conflict and has not permitted its territory, territorial waters or airspace to be used for any military action against Iran. This stance, officials noted, aligns with the country’s longstanding policy of good neighbourliness, de-escalation and adherence to the principles of the United Nations Charter.
At the same time, the UAE stressed that it retains its legitimate right to self-defence under international law and the UN Charter, underscoring its readiness to protect its sovereignty and national security if necessary.
The statement also called for journalistic responsibility, urging media outlets and the public to rely on official and credible sources to avoid the spread of inaccurate or misleading information during a period of heightened regional tension.
