Israeli forces killed two more Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, according to local media, as they continue a military campaign that has rendered the Jenin refugee camp “nearly uninhabitable”.
A United Nations official says aid agencies in Gaza are increasing food distribution, reopening bakeries, restocking and rehabilitating hospitals and repairing water networks as the Israel-Hamas ceasefire continues to largely hold.
The relief effort comes as aid groups warned that a looming Israeli ban on the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) could harm recovery efforts in Gaza.
Yemen’s Houthis released the 25 crew members of the Galaxy Leader, 430 days after seizing the ship in a Red Sea campaign the group said was in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 47,107 Palestinians and wounded 111,147 since October 7, 2023. At least 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks that day and more than 200 were taken captive.
