Dubai Financial Market delivered an impressive performance in the first quarter of 2026, reporting a 36 percent rise in consolidated revenues to AED 253.1 million, up from AED 186.5 million during the same period last year. The growth was largely driven by heightened trading activity and increased participation from international investors.

Net profit before tax also climbed significantly to AED 193.3 million, compared to AED 134.9 million in Q1 2025, reflecting stronger liquidity and broader engagement across the market.

A key highlight of the quarter was the average daily traded value surpassing AED 1 billion for the first time, reaching AED 1.03 billion — a 56 percent increase year-on-year from AED 663 million. Total trading value rose by 48 percent to AED 61 billion, compared to AED 41 billion in the corresponding period last year.

Investor inflows remained robust, with 20,702 new investors joining the market. Notably, 79 percent of these were international, underscoring DFM’s growing global appeal. Foreign investors contributed 54 percent of total trading value, while institutional investors accounted for 70 percent. Market capitalisation stood at AED 897 billion at the end of March 2026.

Chairman Helal Saeed Al Marri described the milestone of exceeding AED 1 billion in daily trading as a testament to the exchange’s rising global significance and investor confidence in Dubai’s financial ecosystem.

Chief Executive Officer Hamed Ali added that trading activity remained resilient despite a 10.1 percent decline in the index toward the end of March, following its peak of 6,774 points on February 9.

DFM said it will continue to focus on enhancing market accessibility, strengthening infrastructure, and expanding opportunities for issuers and investors as it builds on its strong start to the year.
