Dubai Duty Free has once again reaffirmed its leadership in regional travel retail, securing the title of Best Duty Free Shopping in the Middle East at the Business Traveller Middle East Awards for an unprecedented 25th consecutive year.
The recognition was announced during the awards ceremony held at the InterContinental Hotel, Dubai Festival City, where winners were selected based on votes from frequent travellers—making the accolade a direct reflection of passenger satisfaction rather than a panel-based jury decision.
The award was received on behalf of Dubai Duty Free by Senior Vice President of Marketing Sinead El Sibai and Senior Manager of Marketing Salim Dahman.
The latest honour comes after a record-breaking year for the retailer, which reported US$2.378 billion in sales in 2025, ranking it fifth among global duty-free operators.
Managing Director Ramesh Cidambi attributed the achievement to the organisation’s workforce and customer-focused strategy, noting that the milestone reflects “dedication, professionalism and passion” across the company. He added that Dubai Duty Free continues to prioritise innovation, service quality, and a constantly evolving product offering to meet changing traveller expectations.
For a quarter of a century, the consistent recognition underscores Dubai Duty Free’s sustained appeal at one of the world’s busiest aviation hubs, highlighting its ability to remain closely aligned with international traveller preferences.
