The UAE has launched the UAE Cyber Factory, a landmark initiative designed to strengthen the country’s sovereign digital defence capabilities and establish the nation as a leading global cybersecurity hub.

Introduced by the UAE Cyber Security Council in partnership with CPX Holding, the project comes as the country faces more than 800,000 cyberattacks every day, highlighting the growing need for advanced and rapid-response cyber protection systems.

The Cyber Factory will focus on developing next-generation cybersecurity technologies powered by artificial intelligence, enabling faster threat detection, prediction and response. The initiative is designed as a fully sovereign ecosystem, allowing the UAE to maintain complete ownership and control over its digital defence infrastructure.

According to Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, the project marks a major step in the country’s evolution from simply defending against cyber threats to actively leading innovation in digital security technologies.

CPX Holding CEO Hadi Anwar said the initiative combines local expertise, advanced engineering and homegrown innovation to create a safer digital environment for government institutions, businesses and citizens.

Beyond cybersecurity protection, the Cyber Factory also supports the UAE’s broader vision of producing globally competitive cybersecurity solutions locally, reinforcing the nation’s ambition to become a world leader in digital resilience and technological innovation.
