The Dubai Press Club has hosted a specialised workshop aimed at helping media professionals and content creators understand and apply artificial intelligence tools in modern journalism and digital storytelling.
Held as part of the club’s newly introduced Media Workshops series, the session — titled “Artificial Intelligence… Simplified” — was led by Emirati content creator Ebrahim Bolehyool. Participants explored how AI can be used in text, image, and video production to enhance creativity and improve content delivery.
Maryam Al Mulla said the initiative reflects the growing global importance of AI and its expanding role across industries, particularly in media. She noted that the workshop was designed to give attendees a practical and easy-to-understand introduction to AI technologies and their real-world applications.
During the session, Bolehyool explained how generative AI systems operate, including data processing, pattern recognition, and neural-network-based content creation. He also introduced participants to popular AI platforms such as Google’s Gemini, OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Anthropic’s Claude, and ElevenLabs, highlighting how these tools can assist in producing customised visual and audio content.
A central message of the workshop was that artificial intelligence should complement — not replace — human creativity. Bolehyool emphasised that the best results are achieved when creative thinking is combined with AI-powered capabilities.
The Dubai Press Club reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the media sector by encouraging dialogue between technology experts and industry professionals, while equipping practitioners with the skills needed to adapt to the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
