ABU DHABI — UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call from Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, during which both leaders reaffirmed strong bilateral ties and their shared commitment to regional peace and stability.
President Aoun reiterated Lebanon’s condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in the UAE, expressing Beirut’s solidarity with the Emirates and support for measures aimed at protecting the country’s security, sovereignty, and citizens.
The two leaders also discussed fraternal relations between the UAE and Lebanon, highlighting efforts to strengthen cooperation across various development sectors to advance prosperity for both nations.
Talks further focused on the situation in Lebanon and ongoing initiatives to reinforce security and stability in the country. President Aoun praised the UAE’s continued support for Lebanon’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the aspirations of the Lebanese people for peace and stability.
The conversation additionally covered wider developments in the Middle East, with both presidents underscoring the importance of supporting efforts that promote peace and reinforce regional security and stability for the benefit of all peoples in the region.
