ABU DHABI: — President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan raised the UAE flag at Qasr Al Hosn in Abu Dhabi to mark Flag Day, a national celebration symbolizing unity, pride, and loyalty to the nation’s identity and values.
The ceremony, which featured the playing of the UAE national anthem, was attended by a group of retired Emirati service personnel — a gesture reflecting the nation’s appreciation for their decades of dedication and contribution to its growth and development.
His Highness emphasized that the raising of the flag on this day represents national pride, unity, and the enduring commitment of the Emirati people. He highlighted the significance of honoring those who served the country faithfully, noting that their contributions form the foundation of the UAE’s ongoing progress.
Earlier in the day, Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the retired personnel at Qasr Al Bateen, where they expressed their gratitude and pride in being part of such a meaningful national event.
Accompanying the group from Qasr Al Bateen to Qasr Al Hosn, His Highness reflected on past shared experiences and reaffirmed that the knowledge, service, and loyalty of retired Emiratis remain invaluable assets — inspiring future generations and reinforcing the enduring spirit of belonging and service to the nation.
