The conflict between the United States and Iran has intensified, with US forces carrying out a tenth consecutive night of airstrikes targeting sites across Iran. Explosions were reported near Sirik, Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, Chabahar and Konarak as military operations continued.

Iran has stepped up its retaliation across the Gulf, with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claiming it launched attacks on US assets in Bahrain and Kuwait. The IRGC also said two tankers in the Strait of Hormuz caught fire following its operations, raising fresh concerns over the security of one of the world’s most critical oil shipping routes.

US President Donald Trump warned that Iran would face consequences “many times over” following the deaths of American soldiers during the escalating conflict, after at least three US service members were killed over the past week.

Meanwhile, the Iran-aligned Houthi movement in Yemen announced a maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia, threatening to further disrupt regional shipping and global energy supplies as tensions continue to escalate.
