DUBAI — Dubai Chambers has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Italy’s Assolombarda to expand trade, investment and business cooperation between Dubai and Italy.

The agreement was signed during a business seminar hosted by Dubai Chambers, bringing together senior officials and about 80 representatives from companies in Dubai and Assolombarda member firms.

The MoU will support business delegation visits, joint events and the exchange of expertise. It will also promote cooperation between the Dubai Centre for Family Businesses and Assolombarda’s Family Business Network.

Assolombarda President Alvise Biffi said the agreement would create new opportunities for Italian companies seeking to expand into Dubai and the wider Gulf market. The organisation is also expected to establish an operational office in Dubai and launch an Annual Business Roundtable.

Dubai Chambers President and CEO Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah said the agreement would strengthen commercial links between companies in Dubai and Italy.

Bilateral non-oil trade reached AED51.1 billion in 2025, an 18 percent increase from the previous year.

The number of Italian companies registered as active members of Dubai Chamber of Commerce also rose by more than 400 percent over five years to 1,700 by the end of 2025, with a further 160 companies joining during the first half of 2026.

The business seminar was attended by 33 prominent Italian companies, with discussions focusing on investment opportunities, emerging technologies including Agentic AI, and Dubai’s role as a regional growth hub.

If you want, I can also make it more punchy in Daily Times style, with a stronger Dubai-focused headline and a shorter 5-paragraph version.
