DUBAI, September 21, 2026 — The Endowment and Minors’ Trust Foundation in Dubai (Awqaf Dubai) has inaugurated a new AED6.5 million healthcare endowment in Al Satwa aimed at providing sustainable financial support for patients who cannot afford medical treatment.
Known as Waqf Tadawi, the initiative was developed in partnership with Al Tadawi Healthcare Group. Income generated from the endowment will be used to help cover treatment costs for patients in need and people with limited incomes, regardless of nationality.
The endowment consists of a building developed on a 2,515-square-foot plot, featuring three residential floors, retail outlets and service facilities. Revenue generated from the property will be directed towards humanitarian medical cases receiving treatment at Al Tadawi Healthcare Group facilities.
The inauguration was attended by Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai; Lieutenant General Awad Hader Al Muhairi, Vice President of Dubai’s State Security Department; Essa Abdulla Al Ghurair, Chairman of Awqaf Dubai; Ali Mohammed Al Mutawa, Secretary General of Awqaf Dubai; and Marwan Ibrahim Haji Nasser, Chairman and CEO of Al Tadawi Healthcare Group.
The initiative received support from Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Tarahum Charity Foundation, Dar Al Ber Society and several philanthropists, reflecting cooperation between charitable organisations, the healthcare sector and private donors.
Awqaf Dubai said the project demonstrates how endowments can create a sustainable source of funding for healthcare while helping reduce the financial burden on patients and protecting their dignity.
Al Tadawi Healthcare Group will contribute medical expertise, including qualified doctors and nursing teams, to support beneficiaries and provide healthcare services in accordance with international medical standards.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to use charitable endowments to provide long-term support for essential healthcare services in Dubai.
