DUBAI — Dubai Chamber of Commerce has briefed representatives of 65 newly joined member companies on a wide range of services designed to strengthen business competitiveness, improve access to markets and support the growth of the emirate’s private sector.
The briefing, organised by Dubai Chamber of Commerce, part of Dubai Chambers, introduced the new members to services ranging from certificates of origin and document attestation to mediation, trade missions and the chamber’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Label.
Khalid AlJarwan, Executive Vice President of Commercial and Corporate Services at Dubai Chambers, said the organisation was focused on equipping businesses with practical services that would enable them to respond more effectively to a rapidly changing economic environment.
The session also highlighted Dubai’s push towards a more digitally driven economy, with Amna Mohamed Lootah, Director of the Digital Payments Regulation Division at Dubai Finance, outlining the Dubai Cashless Strategy.
The strategy aims to achieve 90 per cent cashless transactions across government and private-sector activities, while ensuring full digital enablement across both sectors by the end of 2026.
It is built around three pillars — Digital Governance, Digital Innovation and Digital Society — with the broader objective of creating a secure, inclusive and efficient digital payments ecosystem.
New members were also introduced to Dubai Chamber’s Business Groups, which provide companies with a platform to contribute to discussions on legislation and regulations affecting their respective sectors while strengthening communication between the private sector and government.
The companies were further briefed on the Business in Dubai platform, which brings together 65 corporate services offered by seven accredited partners across financial services, marketing and business growth, technology, and testing, inspection and certification.
Dubai Chamber also showcased DC Connect, its digital platform providing access to services including membership management, document attestation, ATA Carnets, mediation and Business Group activities.
The ATA Carnet system, operated in partnership with Dubai Customs, the Federal Customs Authority and UAE chambers, allows eligible goods to cross international borders temporarily without the payment of customs duties and taxes for periods of up to one year.
The briefing also covered the chamber’s mediation services, which provide businesses with a confidential and efficient mechanism for resolving commercial disputes, as well as document attestation and trade missions aimed at helping Dubai-based companies enter new international markets.
Participants were also introduced to the role of Dubai International Chamber’s overseas offices in identifying international business opportunities, facilitating connections and attracting foreign investment into Dubai.
The latest initiative reflects Dubai’s continued efforts to strengthen the business ecosystem and provide companies with practical tools to expand locally and internationally.
