Abu Dhabi-  An Indian national suffered minor injuries after debris fell in the Al Shawamekh area following a ballistic missile incident, according to the Abu Dhabi Media Office.

Authorities confirmed that air defence systems successfully intercepted the incoming missile, but fragments landed within a residential neighborhood. Emergency response teams were quickly dispatched to the scene to manage the situation and ensure public safety.

Officials have called on residents to rely strictly on verified information from official sources and avoid spreading rumours or unconfirmed reports, particularly on social media.

Since the escalation of hostilities linked to Iranian attacks, the UAE has recorded significant casualties. Two members of the Armed Forces were killed while on duty, along with six civilians from various nationalities including Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Palestine.

In total, 161 individuals have been injured, with cases ranging from minor to severe. Those affected include citizens and residents from a wide range of countries such as the UAE, India, Egypt, Sudan, the Philippines, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Türkiye, and others.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely, reinforcing safety measures while urging the public to remain vigilant and cooperative.
