ABU DHABI, March 20, – UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, in Abu Dhabi on Friday, where the two leaders held talks centered on regional stability and diplomatic cooperation.

The meeting began with an exchange of warm greetings on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, with both sides expressing hopes for continued prosperity, peace, and wellbeing for their nations and the wider world.

During the discussions, Fidan conveyed the greetings of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, along with his wishes for the UAE’s continued growth and success. In return, Sheikh Mohamed asked that his greetings be passed on to the Turkish President, extending his own wishes for Türkiye’s progress and prosperity.

A key focus of the meeting was the growing instability in the region. Fidan reaffirmed Türkiye’s strong condemnation of recent Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and other countries, describing them as violations of sovereignty and international law, and warning of their broader threat to regional security.

Both leaders also addressed the ongoing military escalation, emphasizing the urgent need to de-escalate tensions. They stressed that dialogue and diplomacy remain essential to preventing further conflict and safeguarding both regional and global stability.

The high-level meeting was attended by several senior UAE officials, including Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and other key members of the leadership.
