Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has been appointed Strategic Sustainability Partner for the upcoming Arab Media Summit, reinforcing Dubai’s efforts to align media leadership with sustainability and green economic development ahead of the event.
Organised by the Dubai Press Club, the summit will run from March 31 to April 2, 2026, at the Dubai World Trade Centre under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the directives of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The event is expected to draw more than 8,000 media professionals, policymakers, writers and content creators from across the Arab region and beyond.
The partnership underscores a shared commitment to advancing sustainability and innovation within the media sector, while supporting the UAE’s transition toward a green economy. Organisers said the collaboration aligns with the summit’s broader objective of strengthening the media’s role in promoting sustainable development.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, said the media plays a critical role in shaping public awareness and encouraging environmental responsibility. He noted that the summit offers a platform to highlight DEWA’s clean energy and sustainability initiatives, as well as Dubai’s economic roadmap under the D33 Agenda, while promoting community engagement toward net-zero targets.
Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, said the partnership strengthens efforts to raise awareness of sustainability priorities and encourage constructive dialogue on climate neutrality and resource conservation.
The 2026 summit is expected to be the largest since the launch of the Arab Media Forum in 2001, featuring forums, workshops and specialised sessions addressing key trends and developments shaping the regional media landscape.
