DMCC, Dubai’s leading international business district, has concluded a trade roadshow in Vietnam, hosting events in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to deepen commercial ties and unveil plans for a new Financial Centre.
The initiative aims to drive trade finance, fintech innovation, and digital asset solutions across its 26,000-member community.
The new Financial Centre will complement the recently launched DMCC Wealth Hub for family offices and private capital. It is designed to cluster banks, fintechs, accelerators, and investment firms in a single integrated ecosystem, expanding access to capital, bridging traditional and digital finance, and supporting Dubai’s ambition to become a global financial hub.
Details about the centre are expected to be revealed at the Dubai Precious Metals Conference in November, marking DMCC’s evolution from a commodities powerhouse to a diversified financial and technology-driven trade hub.
The roadshow follows the UAE-Vietnam Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed last October. Under CEPA, bilateral non-oil trade between the UAE and Vietnam reached USD 7 billion in the first half of 2025, a 16.9% increase year-on-year, and is projected to hit USD 20 billion in the coming years. The agreement eliminates more than 98% of tariffs and encourages collaboration in sectors including agri-food, manufacturing, and technology.
DMCC’s Executive Chairman Ahmed Bin Sulayem highlighted the district’s growing role in connecting Southeast Asian companies to global markets. Over 550 Vietnamese business leaders attended the roadshow, exploring opportunities in agri-commodities, AI, and digital infrastructure while learning how Dubai can serve as a platform for international expansion.
Home to more than 26,000 companies from 180 countries, DMCC accounts for 15% of Dubai’s foreign direct investment. Its Made For Trade Live series is a key element of the district’s global outreach, strengthening trade ties with strategic partner markets.
