IKEA has reinforced its commitment to affordability in the UAE and Qatar with the expansion of its permanent ‘Price Lowered’ initiative. Operated regionally by Al-Futtaim, the Swedish home furnishing brand is making quality products more accessible as families face rising living costs.
Unlike seasonal sales or short-term discounts, Price Lowered is a long-term pricing strategy. Every year, IKEA permanently reduces the prices of some of its most popular items — from sofas, cookware, and kitchen essentials to home accessories. Many of these come with guarantees of up to 25 years, including:
10 years on mattresses, PAX wardrobes, and mixer taps
15 years on selected knives and cookware
25 years on kitchen solutions
The initiative also extends to key services. Delivery, returns, and assembly costs have been reduced, with special benefits for IKEA Family members, including an extended 120-day return policy. For example, assembly fees have dropped from AED 150 to AED 99, delivery from AED 75 to AED 45, and parcel delivery from AED 19 to AED 10. Customers also enjoy free delivery on purchases above AED 950, and free parcel delivery on orders of AED 250 and more.
Vinod Jayan, Managing Director of IKEA UAE, Qatar, Oman, and Egypt, emphasized that affordability does not come at the expense of quality:
“At IKEA, we combine style, functionality, and durability with accessible pricing. Our products are designed to inspire, built to last, and backed by long-term guarantees.”
The company also highlighted its focus on inspiration and sustainability. Store displays are regularly refreshed to spark new home ideas, while all IKEA stores in the UAE run on renewable electricity to reduce climate impact.
The Price Lowered range is now available in all IKEA stores across the UAE and Qatar, as well as online, giving customers convenient access to products and services at greater value.
