Dubai Municipality has launched the latest edition of its Future Talents summer training programme, aimed at equipping 200 university, college, and high school students with practical skills for the evolving labour market.

The initiative targets students from Grades 11 and 12, as well as higher education, offering hands-on experience across administrative, technical, and field roles within various municipality departments. Running for four weeks with daily eight-hour sessions, the programme aligns training with students’ academic fields to provide a mix of theoretical knowledge and real-world application.

Abdulla Khalfan, Acting Director of Human Resources at Dubai Municipality, said the initiative helps young Emirati talent gain critical skills, deepen their understanding of their disciplines, and build professional networks. This expanded programme reflects Dubai Municipality’s broader goal of preparing a future-ready generation to contribute to national development.

Last year, the programme trained 60 students from universities and colleges. For 2025, it has been extended to include high school students for the first time, demonstrating Dubai Municipality’s commitment to empowering youth across educational levels.
