Gaza’s civil defence has warned of mass casualties after the Israeli military blew up a dozen residential buildings in northern Gaza’s Jabalia refugee camp in an attack described as a “major massacre”.
Three journalists covering Israel’s war on Lebanon have been killed in an apparent targeted Israeli strike on their accommodation in Lebanon’s southern Hasbaiyya area.
An Israeli delegation will travel to Doha on Sunday after Qatar and the United States announced that negotiators will gather in Qatar’s capital to try and restart talks to bring about a ceasefire in Gaza.

In Gaza, at least 42,847 people have been killed and 100,544 wounded in Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks and more than 200 were taken captive.
