RTA Partners with Tabby to Offer Easy Instalment Payments at Smart Kiosks
Starting next week, Dubai residents will have the option to make payments in instalments for Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) services using the Tabby app at smart kiosks throughout the emirate.
This initiative aims to enhance accessibility to RTA services by offering flexible payment solutions.
Meera AlShaikh, director of digital services at RTA, announced the collaboration with Tabby, a shopping and financial services app, to facilitate the new payment method. Customers can use this feature when paying for various digital services, including vehicle licence renewals, driver licence renewals, and fine payments.
“This service is being rolled out to ensure that RTA payments are accessible to all customers,”
AlShaikh stated. RTA’s smart kiosks, which number 30 across Dubai, provide a range of services, such as fine payment, licence issuance, and seasonal parking card applications. Notably, RTA is one of the first entities in Dubai to introduce an instalment plan for its customers.
AlShaikh highlighted the efficiency of the kiosks, noting that customers can complete transactions, such as renewing their vehicle or driving licence, in less than a minute.
Tabby, which serves over 40,000 global brands and small businesses, enables flexible payments both online and in-store. The app is currently operational in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.
“We expect to see Tabby service starting next week in RTA customer services centres. We are also studying expansion across all digital channels in the near future,”
AlShaikh added, underscoring the authority’s commitment to enhancing customer convenience.
