DUBAI-Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has indicated openness to freezing the current battle lines as part of efforts to end the war with Russia.
Speaking to Fox News host Brian Kilmeade on Fox & Friends, Zelenskyy discussed possible peace negotiations, Russia’s release of detained American Stephen Hubbard and the impact of the dispute over Starlink satellite services.
The Ukrainian leader’s comments come as efforts continue to find a way to end the conflict, which has caused widespread destruction and loss of life.
Freezing the front line would mean stopping the fighting along the current positions without necessarily resolving the wider dispute over territory.
Zelenskyy also discussed the role of international support and technology in the war.
