The United States military has completed its ninth consecutive night of airstrikes against Iran, intensifying its military campaign amid escalating regional tensions.

According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), the latest strikes targeted Iranian command centres, air defence systems, missile facilities, maritime assets, and communications networks as Washington continues its operations against Tehran.

Meanwhile, the US military confirmed that an American service member was killed in northern Iraq during the controlled detonation of unexploded ordnance from a downed Iranian drone. The incident marks another casualty linked to the ongoing conflict.

At sea, the US Navy said it redirected six commercial vessels and disabled another while enforcing its naval blockade on Iran, a move aimed at tightening pressure on the country.

Separately, Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization reported that multiple projectiles struck the construction site of the Darkhovin nuclear power plant, according to local media. The extent of the damage and whether there were any casualties have not yet been confirmed.

The latest developments underscore the growing intensity of the confrontation between the United States and Iran, raising concerns over further instability across the Middle East.
