ABU DHABI, June 28, 2026 — UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has expressed his heartfelt condolences to Venezuela following the devastating earthquake that claimed lives and left many others injured.
During a phone call with Acting President Delcy Rodríguez on Sunday, Sheikh Mohamed conveyed his sympathy to the victims’ families and wished those injured a swift and full recovery.
The UAE President reaffirmed the country’s solidarity with Venezuela and its people during this difficult period, underscoring the UAE’s commitment to standing by nations affected by natural disasters.
Acting President Rodríguez thanked Sheikh Mohamed for his compassionate message and praised the UAE’s rapid humanitarian response, acknowledging the country’s support in assisting those impacted by the disaster.
Earlier, Sheikh Mohamed directed the allocation of US$10 million in emergency humanitarian aid to support earthquake relief efforts in Venezuela. The assistance reflects the UAE’s continued commitment to providing timely aid to communities affected by crises and natural disasters worldwide.
