The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has launched a special “Year of Family” passport stamp at selected entry points across the country to commemorate the International Day of Families.
Introduced on May 15 by the ICP’s General Directorate of Ports, the commemorative stamp forms part of the UAE’s “Year of Family 2026” initiative, which seeks to strengthen family ties and reinforce social values within the community.
The custom immigration stamp is now being placed on the passports of arriving passengers at airports, land crossings and seaports nationwide.
According to the authority, the initiative transforms a routine immigration process into a symbolic gesture of welcome that reflects the UAE’s values of hospitality, unity and social solidarity.
Officials said the campaign also highlights the country’s commitment to fostering family cohesion and promoting a supportive social environment for residents and visitors alike.
