Dubai – The UAE is expected to experience generally fair but dusty weather over the coming days, with temperatures set to rise and humidity levels increasing, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).
The NCM forecasts fair conditions across most parts of the country on Saturday, while low clouds are expected to develop over eastern regions. Light to moderate winds will prevail, occasionally becoming fresh and causing dust and sand to blow across exposed areas, reducing horizontal visibility.
Temperatures are expected to range between 39°C and 46°C in inland areas, while coastal and island regions will record highs between 36°C and 41°C. Mountainous areas are likely to see temperatures ranging from 32°C to 37°C.
Humidity levels are forecast to increase during the night and into Sunday morning, particularly along coastal regions. This could lead to the formation of mist and fog in some areas, with relative humidity reaching up to 90 percent.
Looking ahead to Sunday, temperatures are expected to rise gradually, while humid conditions will persist overnight and into early Monday. Winds will remain light to moderate, occasionally fresh, with speeds reaching up to 35 km/h.
Weather conditions on Monday and Tuesday are expected to remain generally fair. However, northwesterly winds may become active at times, generating blowing dust in some locations. Wind speeds could reach up to 40 km/h, especially during daylight hours.
Sea conditions are also expected to change during the forecast period. The Arabian Gulf will be slight to moderate on Sunday before becoming rough at times from Monday onwards, particularly during the night. Meanwhile, the Oman Sea is expected to remain slight to moderate throughout the period.
Residents are advised to exercise caution during periods of reduced visibility caused by dust and possible fog, especially during early morning travel.
