Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has expressed strong pride in the performance of Dubai’s aviation sector, commending the teams behind Dubai Airports, Emirates Airline, and flydubai for maintaining world-class standards amid evolving global conditions.
During an inspection visit to Dubai International Airport, the Crown Prince highlighted the sector’s critical role in linking global markets and supporting economic growth. He noted that Dubai’s aviation success continues to reflect the long-term vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Accompanied by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Sheikh Hamdan reviewed passenger services, security operations, and advanced smart technologies designed to streamline travel, enhance safety, and improve passenger experience. He also visited the Dubai Police operations centre, where he was briefed on innovative systems supporting airport security and efficiency.
“I am proud of the teams at Dubai Airports, Emirates and flydubai,” Sheikh Hamdan said, praising their resilience, professionalism, and ability to ensure smooth operations under all conditions.
The visit also included a review of Emirates’ Network Operations Control Centre, a high-tech hub that uses artificial intelligence, real-time data, and geospatial mapping to monitor flights, manage disruptions, and ensure punctual operations across its global network of over 120 destinations.
Dubai’s aviation sector continues to deliver record-breaking results. In 2025, Dubai International Airport welcomed more than 95 million passengers, maintaining its status as the world’s busiest international airport for the twelfth consecutive year. Flight movements rose to 454,800, reflecting steady growth in global connectivity and demand.
Sheikh Hamdan reaffirmed that continued investment in infrastructure, innovation, and talent will further strengthen Dubai’s position as a leading global gateway connecting people, markets, and opportunities worldwide.
