New mosque for Dubai’s Al Jaddaf residents

Dubai: A new mosque has been opened in Dubai’s Al Jaddaf for the benefit of residents residing in the area.

The Sultan Rashid bin Quba Mosque was inaugurated in the presence of Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and Public Security in Dubai and Ahmed Darwish Al-Mehairi, Director General of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department. Also present were Said Sultan Rashid bin Quba Al-Mehairi, the donor behind the mosque’s construction.

The mosque has been designed according to the highest Islamic architectural and engineering standards, combining tradition with spirituality. Built in a modern architectural style, it features a spacious layout that can accommodate up to 450 worshippers.

The mosque includes state-of-the-art facilities such as prayer halls for men and women, as well as special areas for individuals of determination. It can host 338 men and 92 women across a total area of 2,853.37 square meters.

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai strives to achieve its vision of being globally recognised for its contributions by creating a comprehensive, proactive system of services to enhance religious awareness, charitable work and mosque construction, following best practices.
