Dubai Public Beaches to Be Reserved for Families During National Day Weekend
In a bid to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for families during the National Day celebrations, four public beaches in Dubai will be designated exclusively for families from November 30 to December 3.
The beaches reserved for family use are Jumeirah Beach 2, Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1, and Umm Suqeim 2.
The four-day National Day weekend, which aligns with the newly named Eid Al Etihad holiday, will see employees from both the private and public sectors enjoying time off. With an expected influx of visitors to Dubai’s beaches, this initiative by the Dubai Municipality is aimed at regulating the number of visitors and providing families with a peaceful environment to celebrate.
Ibrahim Mohammad Juma, Director of the Public Beaches and Waterways Department at Dubai Municipality, explained the reasoning behind the move.
“Dedicating public beaches to families during the Eid Al Etihad festivities aims to regulate the large number of visitors that our beaches typically witness during public holidays and festivals. It also ensures families have a dedicated space to enjoy the beaches in a safe and relaxed setting.”
To further enhance safety, the Dubai Municipality has deployed a comprehensive safety and rescue team, which consists of 135 personnel. A 60-member field supervisory team has also been assigned to monitor beach operations throughout the holiday period. The Municipality will collaborate with its partners to ensure smooth operations and provide a safe environment for all beachgoers.
As the UAE marks this important occasion, Dubai’s beaches will offer a family-friendly retreat for residents and visitors looking to unwind and celebrate the holiday.
