Dubai, July 14, 2026: The Dubai Press Club has launched the third edition of its Arab Podcast Program, a three-week training initiative designed to develop podcasting skills among media professionals and content creators across the Arab world.
The programme brings together media organisations, podcast creators, and industry experts to provide participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in podcast production. Training covers the full production process, including idea development, audience identification, recording, publishing, and marketing.
This year’s edition places special emphasis on the growing convergence of audio and video podcasting, reflecting the increasing popularity of multimedia podcast formats regionally and internationally.
Maryam Al Mulla, Director of the Dubai Press Club, said the programme demonstrates the club’s commitment to supporting the rapid transformation of the media sector while strengthening Dubai’s position as a centre for media innovation. She noted that changing audience habits and rising demand for specialised content are creating significant opportunities for Arab media organisations to expand their reach through high-quality podcast programming.
Wedad Kahoor, Section Head of Media Talent Development at DPC, said the programme will continue until the end of July at the club’s headquarters. Participants will develop original podcast projects that will be evaluated by a panel of specialists, with three outstanding projects set to receive awards.
The opening day featured discussions on the role of podcasts in shaping public discourse, led by Safia Al Shehhi, Jamal Al Mulla, and Dr Zainab Al Taie. A second session focused on podcast concept development and brand identity, presented by Charbel Issa of Podeo.
The initiative forms part of Dubai’s wider strategy to strengthen its status as a global hub for media excellence, talent development, and digital content innovation.
