DUBAI — Dubai has awarded Golden Visas to a select group of outstanding educators working in private early childhood centres, schools and higher education institutions, recognising their exceptional contribution to education and student development.

The initiative, announced in line with the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, coincided with World Teachers’ Day.

The move highlights Dubai’s continued efforts to recognise educators and attract and retain high-performing professionals who are helping shape the emirate’s education sector.

The Golden Visa initiative forms part of the Dubai Education Strategy E33, which seeks to attract and retain inspiring educators whose expertise can enhance student learning while strengthening Dubai’s position as a leading regional and international education hub.

Since the initiative was launched on October 5, 2024, more than 835 educators have submitted applications.

Applicants undergo a professional assessment based on their academic qualifications, achievements, contributions to education and the wider community, as well as positive feedback from students and parents.

Eligibility is open to educators working in private early childhood centres, schools and higher education institutions.

Candidates are expected to demonstrate outstanding academic or creative contributions to education, a proven record of improving educational quality and measurable impact within the education community.

They must also demonstrate significant contributions to improving student outcomes, including academic progress and the achievement of accredited qualifications.

The initiative reflects Dubai’s broader recognition of teachers and educators as key partners in preparing young people for the future and supporting the emirate’s long-term development ambitions.

Further information on eligibility criteria and the application process is available through the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
