The UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment is investigating reports of unusual odours detected in several areas across the country, assuring residents that initial assessments have found no immediate cause for concern.
The ministry said it was working with relevant local authorities to monitor the situation, establish the nature and sources of the smells and coordinate response measures.
According to the ministry, preliminary assessments have so far revealed no indications of concern. However, field monitoring and response efforts are continuing to reduce the odours and accelerate their dissipation.
Authorities said the public would be promptly informed if further developments required precautionary measures. Any necessary safety guidance would also be communicated through official channels.
The ministry urged residents to follow updates from official and authorised sources as investigations continue.
