DUBAI -Projectiles have struck several areas in Iran’s coastal Sirik region, with multiple explosions reported in Minab County and on Qeshm Island, Iranian state media reported on Thursday.
The reports described the incoming weapons as “enemy” projectiles but did not immediately provide details on casualties or damage.
The latest strikes come as US President Donald Trump said the war could end immediately after the November midterm elections, while predicting a decline in oil prices. Trump also said negotiations with Tehran remained possible, although Washington was not actively seeking a deal.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Ministry said Tehran was prepared to engage in dialogue with regional countries to build mutual trust, strengthen sustainable security and promote economic development.
The ministry said security in the Gulf and the Sea of Oman should be maintained through cooperation among the region’s littoral states, without interference from foreign powers.
