Iran has denied United States President Donald Trump’s assertion that Tehran requested a meeting with Washington in Doha following last week’s exchange of military strikes.

According to Iran’s Foreign Ministry, no meeting with US officials is scheduled. However, Tehran confirmed that it will send an expert delegation to Doha to continue discussions regarding the release of frozen Iranian assets.

Meanwhile, Iran also dismissed France’s proposal to support de-mining operations in the Strait of Hormuz, warning Paris against what it described as “provocative actions” in an already “sensitive and complex” regional environment.

Elsewhere in the Middle East, Israeli forces reportedly killed at least eight Palestinians in Gaza and carried out fresh strikes in southern Lebanon despite the existing ceasefire agreement with Beirut.

The developments underscore continuing diplomatic disputes and security concerns across the region, with tensions remaining high despite ongoing international efforts to promote stability.
