Dubai has secured its position as the world’s fifth most powerful city brand, with its brand value nearing AED1 trillion, according to the latest report by Brand Finance, a leading global brand valuation consultancy.
A major contributor to this achievement is Digital Dubai, which added approximately AED31 billion to the emirate’s overall brand value and boosted its City Brand Strength Index score by 1.9 points.
The report awarded Digital Dubai an impressive AA+ institutional brand rating, placing it among the world’s leading digital government entities. It also recorded a brand familiarity score of 92 percent, a Brand Strength Index of 77.7 out of 100, and earned 8.4 out of 10 for both trust and reputation among residents and businesses.
Brand Finance Chief Executive Officer David Haigh said the findings highlight the growing role of trusted digital infrastructure in enhancing a city’s global competitiveness. He noted that Digital Dubai’s AA+ rating and AED31 billion contribution demonstrate the tangible economic value of world-class digital government services.
Director General of Digital Dubai, Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, said the results reflect Dubai’s people-centred approach to digital transformation. He emphasized that the emirate’s digital ecosystem has become an essential part of living, working, and investing in Dubai.
Beyond improving public services, the study found that Digital Dubai has strengthened the city’s reputation as a centre for innovation, entrepreneurship, future growth, ease of doing business, and attractiveness to global talent and investors.
The Brand Finance Global City Index ranks the world’s top 100 city brands based on surveys of more than 15,000 respondents across 20 international markets. The index measures factors such as familiarity, reputation, and consideration for living, working, and investing.
