Diplomatic efforts between the United States and Iran have broken down, with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accusing Washington of imposing “excessive demands” during negotiations. Araghchi arrived in Russia for high-level talks, including a meeting with Vladimir Putin, signaling a potential shift in Tehran’s diplomatic strategy.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Iranian leaders remain free to initiate dialogue, a day after cancelling a planned envoy visit to Pakistan aimed at facilitating talks.

Tensions remain high in the Strait of Hormuz, where Iranian officials have ruled out any return to pre-conflict conditions, raising concerns over global energy security and regional stability.
