The UAE is solidifying its position as a global frontrunner in artificial intelligence adoption and trust, with an impressive 97 percent of residents integrating AI into their work, studies, or daily lives, according to the KPMG Trust in Artificial Intelligence Insights Report, conducted in partnership with the University of Melbourne.

The report reveals that 89 percent of respondents in the UAE experience tangible benefits from AI, surpassing the global average of 83 percent. This reflects the nation’s strong commitment to digital transformation, technological innovation, and widespread digital literacy.

Organisations in the UAE are also leading in governance, with 66 percent having formal generative AI policies in place—signalling structured adoption across multiple sectors.

Public trust in AI is notably high: 65 percent of respondents rely on AI-generated information, while 53 percent believe the technology’s benefits outweigh potential risks. Moreover, 68 percent consider current regulations sufficient for safe AI use, far ahead of the global average of 43 percent.

Despite this optimism, concerns persist. 73 percent worry about the authenticity of online content, and 36 percent remain unsure of their ability to identify AI-generated misinformation.

“AI is rapidly changing the way we live and work,” said Matin Jouzdani, Partner, Data, Analytics and AI at KPMG Lower Gulf. “Our research reinforces the UAE’s overwhelming acceptance of AI, while highlighting strong public support for appropriate AI regulation.”
