The weekly forecast by the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) indicates that cloudy weather and rain are expected in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah.
The NCM forecast also indicates that a slight drop in temperatures is expected on Sunday, at a difference of 1 to 2°C.
According to the NCM forecast: “Partly cloudy and cloudy at times are expected over some Northern, Eastern and Coastal areas with rainfall of different intensities, with a probability of freezing water over the mountains by morning.
“Humid by night and Monday morning over some internal areas. Light to moderate Northwesterly winds and fresh to strong at times with clouds causing blowing dust, with a speed of 15 – 25 reaching 45km/hr.
“The sea will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate, becoming rough at times with clouds in Oman Sea.”
The current weather situation is caused by an extension of low surface pressure system from the East and high surface pressure from the West, accompanied by an extension of a weak low-pressure system in the upper-air, the NCM added.
