Israel rejects Hezbollah truce, kills 10 Palestinians at a Gaza cafe

Israel’s military killed at least 10 Palestinians in a drone attack on the so-called “safe zone” in Gaza’s al-Mawasi, as Israeli tanks rolled into the central Nuseirat refugee camp amid air raids that killed at least 20 people.
Israel’s new Defence Minister Israel Katz ruled out a ceasefire with Lebanon’s Hezbollah and hinted at a strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Israel’s far-right Finance Minister Smotrich said he hopes US President-elect Donald Trump will support his plans to annex the occupied West Bank in 2025.
Israel’s genocide in Gaza has killed at least 43,603 Palestinians and wounded 102,929 since October 7, 2023. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks that day and more than 200 were taken captive.
In Lebanon, at least 3,243 people have been killed and 14,134 wounded in Israeli attacks since the war on Gaza began.
