More than 50 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli air strikes across Gaza, medical sources told Al Jazeera, with at least 42 of the victims killed in Gaza’s besieged north.
Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health reports that Israeli forces killed 53 people and wounded 161 in raids across the country over the previous 24 hours.
Six Malaysian peacekeepers with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) sustained minor injuries in what was reported to be an Israeli air strike on a nearby vehicle that killed three people in Lebanon’s Sidon city.
Israel’s genocide in Gaza has killed at least 43,469 Palestinians and injured 102,561 since October 7, 2023. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks that day, and more than 200 were taken captive.
In Lebanon, at least 3,102 people have been killed and 13,819 wounded in Israeli attacks since the war on Gaza began.
