At least 29 people have been killed in the latest wave of Israeli attacks across Gaza as Israel’s siege of northern Gaza continues, trapping about 400,000 Palestinians.
UN peacekeepers will stay in their positions in southern Lebanon, peacekeeping chief Jean-Pierre Lacroix has said after peacekeepers from UNIFIL were injured in Israeli attacks.
At least 21 people have been killed in an Israeli air attack on the mostly Christian village of Aitou in northern Lebanon. Eight other people were injured.
In Gaza, at least 42,289 people have been killed and 98,684 injured in Israeli attacks since October 2023. At least 1,139 people were killed in Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, and more than 200 people were taken captive.
