The National Center of Meteorology has reported that its national seismological network stations detected an earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale at 12.12am off the coast of Ras Al Khaimah, followed by a 2.8 magnitude earthquake at 1.53am.

While the earthquake was felt by the residents in the region, it had no effect in the UAE.

The National Center of Meteorology has been actively monitoring seismic activity in the UAE to provide early warnings and ensure the safety of the people.
