THE GENOCIDE charges brought by South Africa and supported by several countries at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), where Israel is accused of war crimes in Gaza resumed yesterday at the Hague, Daily Times can reveal.
The hearing resumed on Thursday and is likely to drag in to Friday as both sides (South Africa and Israel) feel they have a strong case.

Israel said it is prepared to defend itself against the accusations of genocide in Gaza, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasizing that the war is not against the Palestinian people but Hamas while also rebuffing calls by some of his ministers to permanently occupy Gaza strip. South Africa’s apartheid history is its driving support for the Palestinian cause while Israel is expected to defend itself this Friday, dismissing the case, saying claims of genocide in Gaza are baseless.

Meanwhile, Israeli air strikes continue to be launched in Gaza with some Israel officials predicting that the war could last for over a year and the Prime Minister vowed that the war will not stop until Hamas is completely eliminated.
