The UAE’s President Cup round of 16 matches will kick of this weekend with 3 matches lined up.
In the first match, AI Wasl will square off with the Emirates at Zabeel stadium at 1725 hours. AI Wasl is currently on top of the league having won four of their last 5 matches and drew only one.
Last week Al Wasl secured a crucial 1-0 victory over city rivals Al Nasr in a tightly contested Bur Dubai Derby during matchweek 13 of the ADNOC Pro League, bolstering their lead with 33 points. Coming to this match and going by their recent form, they are the favourites to book a ticket to the last 8.
In other matches, Sharjah will take on AI Bataeh at Sharjah stadium while the last match will feature AI Naser versus KhorFakkan at Makotum Staidum at 2025 hours
