Dubai Municipality has completed 107 public projects worth a combined AED1.6 billion in 2026, expanding parks, beaches, neighbourhood facilities and urban beautification initiatives across the emirate.
The projects, delivered by the Municipality’s Public Facilities Agency, include developments at Al Mamzar Beaches, Hewi Dubai in Nad Al Sheba, neighbourhood parks, community Majlis facilities and rural areas.
Public beaches accounted for 36 per cent of the total investment, while beautification, landscaping and agriculture projects received 22 per cent.
Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency, said the value of public infrastructure should be measured by its impact on everyday life as well as the facilities delivered.
The agency said it was using community feedback, visitor insights and operational data to improve the planning, design and management of public facilities.
It has also created more than 100 investment opportunities across public facilities, including opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises, to encourage private-sector participation in public destinations.
The projects support the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
